Role Description:We are seeking a talented Quality Control Director for Santander Bank, North ArmericaOperations. This role leads a team responsible for developing and implementing quality control programs and ensures effective and efficient policies, processes, and procedures are aligned and followed. Conducts quality reviews and delivers results to appropriate stakeholders and develops action plans for success. Provides oversight to ensure quality standards are established in accordance with internal practices, risk and compliance policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements for Quality Responsibilities: Directs, leads, and motivates cross-functional team members in strategy development and day-to-day planning and execution of Quality Management processes and procedures. Ensures objectives align with the operational process, regulatory, risk, and compliance goals Advises senior leadership on issues and assists with Quality strategy development for operations Maintains and applies expert knowledge of the business, member service components, and operational processes. Utilizes advanced leadership and collaborative skills in interacting with stakeholders and control/business/affiliate partners. Builds processes and relationships that facilitate productive teamwork and goal achievement Performs complex/unique work assignments and problem resolution Serves as the Quality subject matter expert and/or liaison with control partners to ensure documents, projects, processes, and initiatives comply with regulatory/legal requirements and Enterprise/internal policy. Builds and oversees a team of employees for the assigned functional areas through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities. Generates periodic reporting to document and communicate results of quality reviews and escalate issues as needed. Additionally, it generates progress updates on actions taken to remediate quality control issues identified. Partners with the business, 2nd and 3rd line of defense and ensure the Quality Control Program is targeting areas of highest risk to the business Travels, as required, to perform quality control review of all applicable lines of business and officesPreferred Experience: Experience building, implementing, and managing Quality Management Programs at a Financial Institution, preferably in Bank Operations (Deposits, Payments, Consumer Lending, Cards, Fraud, Call Center, Collections, Commercial Loan Operations) Preferred Licenses/ Certification American Society of Quality, Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence Certified Internal AuditorAt Santander, we value and respect differences in our workforce and strive to increase the diversity of our teams.
