OverviewA business data analyst (BDA) leads activities and partners with stakeholders on business initiatives that rely on data and analytics. The BDA is responsible for providing analytical partnership for aligned functional group, clearly communicating insights to senior leaders and collaborating cross data teams to drive broader data improvements. This includes identifying actionable insights-based business opportunities, partnering on initiative design, overseeing initiative execution, and tracking business outcomes. They apply business acumen, people domain knowledge, and analytical skills to provide direction at each phase of varied business initiatives they BDA influences solutions, prioritizes business opportunities, builds business cases, develops requirements, plans and executes experiments, creates dashboard mockups and reports data that measures key performance indicator results to explain the impact of associated actions. What you'll bringBachelors degree in a quantitative field - Business, Statistics, Psychology or other social science, or equivalent experience; Masters preferred7+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysisExperience with analytics related to human resources (ex: workforce, talent, compensation, etc.) preferred Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and the ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, succinct terms to both analytical and non-analytical audiences are a necessitySkilled at probing for, evaluating and synthesizing data from disparate data sources to draw interpretive insightsMaintain a culture of high-quality output and exceptional customer service: effectively communicate at all levels, ensure that work gets done well and on time, and respond effectively to unexpected obstaclesApply descriptive and predictive modeling and methodologies to drive solutionsExperience in analytical and modeling tools, such as Python, R, or SPSSExperience with data visualization tools, such as Qlikview or TableauHow you will leadDeep knowledge of people analytics and how them impact business objectivesProficient in accessing people data from various sources (such as relational databases, distributed data sources and third party data capture tools) and creating analyses using visualization tools (such as Excel and Qlik Sense) to share customized insights with business and analytics partners.
