* Duties Help Duties Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist in the NUCLEAR INSPECTION DIVISION of the QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities * You will serve as the technical authority for the nuclear inspection program. * You will identify improvements in the methods and means of accomplishing work and in directing performance improvements. * You will develop short and long-range plans to provide manning, facilities, material and equipment to support the code. * You will analyze the problems identified in audits, surveillances, and other nuclear quality documents. * You will ensure an effective, coordinated nuclear program that supports the overall Shipyard goals * You will work with other codes and shops Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience leading nuclear inspection processes * Experience overseeing work in progress and assuring compliance with code regulations * Experience maintaining a skilled, nuclear-qualified workforce * Experience ensuring the availability of material and manpower needs for scheduled work * Experience coordinating and implementing process performance improvements.
