The candidate will:\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing operations\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Determine root causes and implement the associated corrective actions as related to unit failures.\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Reduce cost and increase yields using lean manufacturing principles\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement new processes and technologies\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Utilize CAD and software programs to develop\nManufacturing Process Plans, design tooling, support equipment, process flows.\nThe employee will continuously learn and apply a wide variety of engineering techniques, will contribute to projects in a teaming environment and will investigate, transfer, and adapt processes, techniques, or methods to new applications.\nBasic Qualifications:\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to obtain a Security clearance\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to support 2nd shift operations, if required\nDesired Skills:\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of manufacturing processes (electronic, mechanical, optical assemblies), GD&T, precision machining, assembly sequences.\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience writing technical work instructions for a variety of electronic and electro/mechanical/optical assemblies and processes.\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel) and SAP\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity of Lean manufacturing, concepts, and techniques\n\xe2\x80\xa2 CREO/ProE experience with a focus on tooling, taking a concept through to final design and fabrication\n\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in troubleshooting problems and developing solutions.
