Position Title: Quality Control Specialist FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Quality Control Supervisor Summary of the Job: Gathers and maintains documentation for all Demand Deposit Accounts, Saving Accounts, Certificate of Deposits, IRA's and Safe Deposit Boxes. Essential Functions: * Verifies new accounts opened at all locations. * Accurately enters and verifies information in the core. * Knows and stays current on compliance and regulatory issues. * Complete daily maintenance requests for deposit accounts. * Read and understand legal documentation for business and consumer accounts. Additional Functions: * Perform routine duties with minimal supervision using standard practices or procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Analyze data to determine the time, place or sequence of operations. * Follow directions expressly assigned by other people or helping others with their work assignments. Required Education/Experience: * High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Skills: * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Ability to write simple correspondence * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. * Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. * Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on whole numbers, fractions, and mixed numbers, whole and fractional units of measure. * Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. * Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical Activity/Dexterity: * Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. * Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Work with fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials. Physical Environment Demands: * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. * The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc. * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone. * Constantly positions self to operate on a computer. * The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing. Working Conditions/Environment: * Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. * Moderate noise (. business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Work Schedule/Hours: * Monday through Friday; 8:00 . - 5:00 . * Available for overtime as needed.
