Position Description
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for answering incoming phone calls from customers. Often the first point of contact for customers, representing AU Health, the Customer Service Specialist assists both external and internal customers regarding customer-billing concerns and issues. This position is responsible for resolving customer-billing concerns in a professional, timely, accurate manner. The Customer Service Specialist is accountable for complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations related to customer service.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and 3 years or more of experience in health care environment or equivalent experience preferred. Operating Systems, Spreadsheets, Microsoft experience with word and Excel. Patient Accounting, optical imaging and scanning.
Preferred Requirements
Associate's Degree. 5 years or more of experience in health care enivironment or equivalent experience. Data quality monitoring and internet-based insurasnce websites. Extensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and other insurance guidelines preferred. CPAR Certification.
