Director, Product Management - Constant TemperatureLocation: US - RemoteThe Water and Laboratory Products (WLP) business produces a wide range of equipment and consumables for water analysis, water purification, and sample preparation and storage. With well recognized brands and a long history of supporting customers across academic, government, pharma, biotech, and industrial markets WLP is essential to advancing are currently seeking a Product Management Director for the Constant Temperature product line which includes environmental chambers, ovens, incubators, and furnaces. The ideal leader will have experience in B2B environments, a strong focus on growth, and product management or management consulting experience. The primary responsibility for this leader will be overall bookings, revenue, and margin growth for this portfolio. This individual will lead a team of product managers towards the development and execution of new growth opportunities including launching new products that meet current and future customer needs. This leader reports directly to the VP/GM and is ideally based in Chelmsford, MA but remote candidates will be considered as :Manage and develop direct and cross-functional talent to drive WLP and Thermo Fisher growthDrive results - consistently meet and exceed financial commitments (revenue, bookings, and margins); leverage strategy deployment, A3s, and KPI monthly managementWork collaboratively with marketing and commercial teams to develop and execute commercial strategy to deliver bookings growth commitments (own definition of success); ensure price and product positioning are appropriate to achieve revenue and margin objectivesBusiness planning and forecasting - leadership role in driving accurate forecasting utilizing processes such as the sales, inventory and operations planning process (SIOP)Lead a team of product managers and applications specialists to develop and execute segment strategy - defining the product roadmap, determining business priorities, launching new products, managing product lifecycle (including regulatory and EOL strategy), developing business cases for new opportunities, and implementing strategic marketing and go-to-market plansLead and leverage analyses of business and market trends to define customer requirements, competitive strategy, and business opportunities for increasing customer and business valueDevelop the product roadmap - lead teams through new product development processes from concept through commercialization including VOC, definition of customer/product requirements, value proposition development, product lifecycle analyses, and future product mappingPrioritize and ensure success of R programsDrive market readiness with new and existing products with high quality standards; ensure compliance with global and local regulatory requirementsManage product launches and sales training to achieve timely launches and commercial objectivesRequirements:Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred7+ years of experience in industry or 4 years as management consultant post-MBADesired Requirements:Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysisStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organizationGreat communicator, including solid written, oral and presentation-giving skillsDemonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative and good business judgmentProven success working in a matrixed organizationBroad knowledge of multi-functional, multi-site, global organizational processes and financial business methods
