LabJack is seeking an electronics technician to support our R&D department.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Soldering, reworking and cleaning PCBs

• Testing components by following detailed procedures and documentation

• Assembling and testing prototypes including running stress and temperature testing, following and documenting results

• Assembling test jigs and reworking them to improve performance and functionality

• Testing/inspecting failed devices and communicating with customer and engineers via email (RMAs)

• Performing small customizations on PCBs (adding pin headers, removing resistors, adding custom connectors)

• Test and evaluating analog and digital sensors

The ideal candidate will show experience in the following:

• Exercising patience
• Attention to detail, not rushing but also using time efficiently
• Professional and detailed written communication
• Proven ability to learn from reading manuals, datasheets and procedures
• Writing App Notes
• Physical infrastructure upgrades (running ethernet cabling, installing computers, moving/deploying switches, routers, printers etc. )
• Open to being cross trained on production testing, packing/shipping and technical support

Helpful skills and abilities:

• Experience with robots, 3D printers, Rasberry Pis or Arduno
• Excellent visual inspection skills using 20/20 vision with or without correction
• Steady hands for working with small components as small as 0603, with the occasional 0402
