TRC's client, a leading automotive supplier, is seeking a Metallurgical Lab Technician to join their team in Novi, MI!Overview:As a two-way information conduit to internal teams, will perform laboratory testing of moderate to high complexity, document results and provide data and preliminary analysis that is accurate and valid. Support laboratory operations and coordinate equipment calibration and maintenance. Author training documents and lead laboratory training sessions. Key contributor to specification and planning of the :Independently manage day-to-day metallurgical evaluation testing in the laboratory and address moderately complex problemsCoordinate CSC, Technical Development and Technical Service testing with Lab TechnologistClearly communicates technical information and/or results effectively to colleagues and design teams on a regular basisUnderstands and is able to clearly communicate and clarify customer requirements as neededIdentify where additional data / analysis is neededMaintains and diagnoses critical equipment, including calibration and maintenance scheduleLeverage internal R and plant labs to establish laboratory best practicesUtilizes equipment in a safe operating manner and in compliance with safety key lab safety points and complete risk assessments as neededTrain new lab personnel and engineers in lab as necessaryDocument and enforce laboratory safety rulesAct as a key member of the automotive support team, providing laboratory support to the Customer Account Teams, Technical Services and the Customer Solution Center:Provide metallurgical laboratory services to key customersSupply relevant testing data to internal customers by doing it rightProvide accurate results to internal & external key customersOwn Lab Safety and Quality
