The Computing Platform Software team is in need of an senior software engineer to fill a project lead role and drive daily execution of one or more infrastructure software projects within Boeing AvionX. This software engineering position requires an experienced background in developing software, including the use of agile processes and lifecycle management tools and is able to serve as an agile mentor and coach for the role specializes in the ability to lead a typical team size of 8 to 12 US-based software engineers, as well as, a similar sized international-based independent test engineers, to breakdown work, organize, plan, integrate and track the scope of a 24-month software development project from beginning to end. The ideal candidate may see this as a career development opportunity into management, or has prior experience in organizational leadership such as first line manager or program Responsibilities:Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and software research and development as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry and mentors under consultative position allows telecommuting.
