There many different types of travel & tourism jobs available, so what you do will depend on the job you take. You could be a travel agent, creating exciting and highly individualized itineraries for clients. You could be a commercial pilot, ferrying passengers to their destinations. You could be an event planner, staging events of all kinds, from conferences to conventions. Or you could be a hotel manager, managing the lodgings of tourists in a particular place. Or you could be a tour guide at a landmark or tourist attraction, providing information on the history and context of the site for interested visitors.

Many travel & tourism jobs do not require specific qualifications. For example, you could work as a travel agent, hotel porter, theme park assistant, or similar role with only a high school education and a can-do attitude.
